Carson National Forest offers a variety of recreation opportunities, including biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting & shooting, off-highway vehicles (OHV), outdoor science and learning, picnicking, scenic drives, and winter sports. The forest is divided into several recreation regions, including Abiquiu, Cabresto Canyon, Colorado Borderlands, and El Rito, each offering unique landscapes and activities. The forest is managed by the U.S. Forest Service and provides breathtaking views of large landscapes in the Rio Chama Valley.
