The Shafer Butte Campground is located in the Boise National Forest. The campground is managed by the Emmett Ranger District, which oversees more than 150 camping units in 21 developed campgrounds. The district encompasses 350,000 acres of National Forest and offers a variety of camping options, including developed campsites and dispersed camping areas. Visitors can explore the Cascade Ranger District, which is the northernmost district on the Boise National Forest and offers a diverse range of recreation opportunities.
