Shady Cedar Campground is located 2.5 miles north of Bonesteel, South Dakota off of Highway 18. Our private campsites are nestled in among the cedar trees of the Missouri River valley and just minutes from dropping your boat, or line, in the water! All 52 campsites have water, electrical and sewer hookups, with ample room to park your boat and hang out. The Grain Bin bar is a popular gathering place to sip on your favorite beverage and talk about your day on the river. Just 7.5 miles down the road from the campground you’ll find the Whetstone Bay boat dock, fish cleaning station, and of course great fishing! Lake Francis Case is known for some of the very best walleye fishing in South Dakota. We have access to many resources in town at Bonesteel, including a fully stocked grocery store, convenience store, both with fuel and live bait available, two restaurants, as well as a coffee shop on Main Street.
