Seaton Creek Campground is a rustic camping destination located within the Huron-Manistee National Forests, adjoining Seaton Creek at the upper end of the Hodenpyl Dam Pond backwater on the Big Manistee River. The campground features 17 family sites and 2 group sites nestled in a pine forest near a picnic area, with the closest town being Mesick. The surrounding terrain is hilly with a mix of hardwoods and conifers, including proximity to Briar Hill, which has the second-highest elevation in Michigan's lower peninsula. Visitors can enjoy excellent fishing for both panfish and game fish, kayaking on Seaton Creek and the Hodenpyl Backwaters, and access to the Manistee River Trail trailhead located within the campground. The area also provides opportunities for canoeing the Big Manistee River and accessing the North Country National Scenic Trail via a suspension bridge.
