Nestled in an ancient redwood grove 2 miles East of Guerneville, along the Russian River, is a special place, a place where time stands still, a place where memories are made, a place where families come to relax and forget about the chaos of modern life. Schoolhouse Canyon Campground is a heritage park, one of the last real tent campgrounds on the Russian River. The park has been in continuous operation since the 1960s and is part of the original Ridenhour ranch, which has remained in the family since the 1850s. Please come and relax, camp with us and enjoy the beautiful Russian River valley. We are a perfect home base for wine tasting, canoeing, standup paddle boarding, bicycle tours or even a visit to the coast. We look forward to your stay.
