The Tonto National Forest offers a wide range of recreation opportunities, including biking, climbing, fishing, hiking, horse riding, hunting, off-highway vehicles, outdoor science and learning, and picnicking. The forest is home to numerous scenic drives, camping and cabin sites, and historic sites. Visitors can explore the forest's natural and cultural resources, including its geology, rangeland, and water, air, and soil. Recreation fee dollars are invested in public safety, recreation site maintenance, educational experiences, and youth programs, among other things.
