About
Sawnee Campground is located just north of Buford Dam on Lake Sidney Lanier in Cumming, Georgia. The campground offers beautiful views of the lake and provides excellent access to boating and swimming activities. Originally built as part of the Buford Dam project, it has become known as one of the best fishing and lake access locations in the area. The facility accommodates up to 3 vehicles and 8 people per site and features modern amenities including bathhouses with hot showers, a dump station, a boat ramp with courtesy dock, a playground, and a swimming beach. Reservations are required to camp and must be made at least one day in advance.
