Sarge Creek Campground is situated along the banks of Kaw Lake in north central Oklahoma, offering a scenic retreat for outdoor enthusiasts. The campground features 53 campsites with modern amenities including electric hookups, drinking water, and flush toilets, with most sites shaded for comfort. It's particularly popular with equestrian visitors, offering dedicated horse camping sites (1-7) with horse pens and access to the Five Fingers Equestrian Trail. The surrounding Kaw Lake covers 17,000 surface acres with 168 miles of shoreline and is known for excellent fishing opportunities, including some of Oklahoma's largest catfish, crappie, white bass, and walleye. Visitors can enjoy hiking on the Eagle View Trail, wildlife viewing including migrating bald eagles in winter, boating via the on-site ramp, and hunting for whitetail deer, turkey, and waterfowl. The area also features historical Native American settlements and archeological sites.
