Salmon River Resort is located on the lower Salmon River at the mouth of White Bird Creek near White Bird, Idaho, in the heart of North Central Idaho near Hells Canyon. The resort has been in operation since the 1960s and offers full-service RV sites, tent camping, motel rooms, and cabin rentals. Originally known as Chief White Bird Motel, the property was later renamed Waterfront RV Park and Motel before being rebranded as Salmon River Resort by current owner Kortney Killgore Smith, who is honoring her mother's legacy. The resort is conveniently located 86 miles south of Lewiston and 30 miles north of Riggins, making it an ideal base for outdoor recreation and adventure activities in the region.
