About

Saddle Rock and South Gardens Environmental Campgrounds are located on the west side of Highway 1 south of McWay Cove. The campgrounds are hike-in only and no vehicle access is permitted. Reservations are required and can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The campgrounds have a maximum occupancy of four people per site and offer picnic tables, fire rings, trash cans, and pit toilets. Running water is available across Highway 1 near the restrooms. Campers must bring their own firewood and are not allowed to gather firewood in the park. Fires are allowed only in the provided metal fire rings, and all fireworks are prohibited. The campgrounds are extremely popular year-round and usually fill up six months in advance.
