About

Ruark Bluff West is a shady campground located on Stockton Lake in the scenic Ozark Mountains of southwestern Missouri. The campground features 74 campsites with many offering electric hookups, along with facilities including showers, a dump station, and a boat ramp. The surrounding landscape showcases hundreds of acres of native prairie grasses, rolling hills, and thick forests that turn crimson in autumn. Visitors can enjoy abundant wildlife viewing opportunities including wild turkey, great blue herons, deer, and bald eagles, with an annual eagle-watching event during winter. The lake's nearly 300 miles of shoreline provide countless recreational opportunities, from boating and fishing for bass, crappie, walleye, and catfish, to hiking trails that wind around the lakeshore and through the landscape, including the Stockton Lake Equestrian Trail spanning approximately 15 miles.
