Ross Prairie Trailhead & Campground is an ecologically unique habitat with a wide range of species. It is located along the southern boundary of the Cross Florida Greenway and adjacent to the entrance to Ross Prairie State Forest. The habitat changes with the seasons and water volume of the prairie, providing a diverse environment for wildlife. The campground has 14 public-use campsites with water and 30/50 amp hookups available. Visitors can explore the trails, which meander through oak hammocks and islands, and spot wildlife such as whitetail deer, wild turkey, bobcat, alligators, and gopher tortoises. The area is also conveniently located near shopping and dining opportunities.
