Overnight fees are $20 for most sites, and camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. The campground is located 22 miles northeast of Shingleton via H-15, H-58, and Russ Lake Road. Visitors can expect to catch bluegill, pike, and largemouth bass in Ross Lake. The campground provides access to state land open to hunting, and the operation of an ORV between the campground and nearby trails is allowed. Winter camping is available, but the campground and seasonal roads are not plowed.
