Riverside Park Campground is a family-owned and operated small campground located on the east bank of the beautiful Genesee River in Allegany County, New York. The campground lies on a large point bar next to the river, surrounded by lush hardwood trees. It offers RV sites with electric, water, and sewer hook-ups, as well as clean, separate shower and bathroom facilities for men and women. Visitors can enjoy safe, open campfires, use the picnic pavilion, throw horseshoes, play basketball, or let their children have fun on the small swing set. The scenic Genesee River is about 20 miles from its headwater when it reaches the campground, offering opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. The campground also has hiking trails, including one on its island, where visitors can explore for fossil rocks, wild onions, and other edible plants. The area is known for its hot air balloon festivals and is close to the towns of Wellsville and Scio. The campground is open from April to October, with seasonal rates available.
