River Valley Lodge and Campground is a state-of-the-art family-oriented lodge and campground with a western atmosphere in Southeast Iowa. It offers 50 campsites with water and electricity, as well as primitive campsites. The campground has a climate-controlled shower house, a coin-operated laundry, a playground, a fishing pond, and many trails for horseback riding. There is also a large warm-up arena, a covered stall, and a wash and rolling area for horses. The campground is open to all, horses or not, and is located near the village of Farmington, Iowa, where you can find groceries, gas, ice, and restaurants. The daily rate for fully equipped campsites is $40 for Friday and Saturday nights and $30 for Sunday through Thursday. Primitive campsites are available for $15 per day, and additional stalls can be rented for $15 per day on Friday and Saturday and $10 per day on Sunday through Thursday. The campground is a great place to stay for couples, large groups, and horse groups/organizations, and offers a unique blend of peace and quiet with easy access to amenities.
