About

Donner Memorial State Park offers hiking and recreation opportunities along Donner Lake and contains a historic monument and visitor center exhibits paying tribute to pioneers crossing the Sierra Nevada. The park is 100 miles east of Sacramento via Interstate 80, and is within the town of Truckee, just west of downtown on the south side of the freeway. Day use and entry fees are $10.00 for vehicles and $100.00 for buses. Special rates may apply for peak season, high demand holiday periods, and during weekends. Prices are subject to change without notice. The park accepts various passes including the California Explorer Vehicle Day Use Annual Pass, Golden Poppy Vehicle Day Use Annual Pass, and more. Activities and facilities include EV charging stations, e-bike locations, and a visitor center.
