The Ozark-St. Francis National Forest provides a lot of the 'natural' in the Natural State of Arkansas. It has something for everyone and is on the way to almost everywhere in Arkansas! The forest's rugged scenic beauty offers a wide variety of year-round recreational opportunities, including hiking, camping, kayaking, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. The forest is also home to the Blanchard Springs Caverns, which can be toured. The forest conducts prescribed burns annually to re-establish fire's natural role in the forest ecosystem and improve forest health. The forest is managed by the USDA Forest Service, which also offers seasonal hiring for the upcoming recreation season.
