About

Piney Point Park is situated on the shore of 30,000-acre Wright Patman Lake in the piney woods of northeast Texas, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The park offers a complete range of camping services and year-round outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, boating, and wildlife viewing. Located in a southern pine forest, the area provides habitat for wild turkey, bobwhite quail, white-tailed deer, waterfowl, and migrating bald eagles and pelicans. The campground features comfortable accommodations with picnic tables, grills, restrooms, showers, and a dump station. Visitors can enjoy a 1.3-mile hiking trail leading to Rocky Point Campground's swimming beach, a volleyball court, and a boat ramp for water sports enthusiasts.
