MacKerricher State Park is a Mendocino Coast park that offers beach, bluff, headland, dune, forest and wetland habitats. It is a good lookout for whale watching and observing harbor seal rookeries. The park is three miles north of Fort Bragg on Highway 1. Day use and entry fees apply, with special rates for peak season and high demand holiday periods.
