Pickerel Lake State Forest Campground is a rustic campground set against the sandy shoreline of Pickerel Lake. It offers many recreational opportunities, including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and hunting. The campground is located 10 miles northeast of Vanderbilt via Sturgeon Valley Road and Pickerel Lake Road. It has 39 sites suitable for tent and small trailer use, with vault toilets, potable water, and no electrical hookups. The campground is open on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum stay of 15 days. A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into the campground.
