Paradise Campground is a scenic destination nestled in the Santa Ynez Mountains within Los Padres National Forest, offering a peaceful retreat at approximately 1,000 feet elevation. The campground features just over a dozen sites surrounded by oak tree woodland that provides ample shade, with lush greenery and an open playing field for recreation. Located near the Santa Ynez River and just 18 miles from Santa Barbara and the Pacific Ocean, the campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the region's natural attractions. Visitors can enjoy direct access to hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, including the popular 2.5-mile Aliso National Recreation Trail and the 18-mile Santa Cruz Trail. The area offers abundant water-based activities such as fishing, boating, swimming, and kayaking at nearby Cachuma Lake Recreation Area, which is stocked annually with trout and also features carp and bass.
