Oh Be Joyful Campground is a 30-unit BLM campground located approximately 5 miles from Crested Butte, Colorado, situated along the Slate River at about 9,000 feet elevation. The campground takes its name from nearby Oh Be Joyful Creek, which features massive waterfalls and abundant wildflowers during summer months. Recently renovated, the campground offers 14 RV campsites and 15 walk-in tent campsites, plus one group campsite, all nestled in a scenic valley with mountains on either side. The area is known for its spectacular views and pristine natural setting. Visitors should note that there is no cell service, no hookups, and no potable water available, requiring guests to be self-sufficient. The access road is steep and rough, making it unsuitable for larger or low-clearance RVs.
