Oelwein City Park Campground is located in the south side of Oelwein, Iowa. It offers 42 electrical and water campground sites, including 22 – 50 amp sites and 30 amp sites, as well as 3 drive-through sites. The campground is open from April 15th to October 15th. A modern restroom/shower facility is available, and there is over 800 square feet dedicated for tent/ primitive camping. The campground also offers a waste station and cart for convenience. Nearby, Lake Oelwein offers great scenery and endless recreation possibilities, including fishing and kayak/paddleboard rentals. The campground host conducts rentals and provides equipment rentals such as horseshoes and basketball hoops. The surrounding City Park features two sand volleyball courts, several playgrounds, a basketball court, five horseshoe courts, a Dog Park, a 24-acre lake, and several picnic amenities. The Oelwein Celebration is held at City Park in early June, with free entertainment for all.
