The Jayhawk Area Council is proud to represent Scouting America in 11 counties in Northeast Kansas. The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The council invites you to participate in Scouts Read Sacred Texts Worldwide, a meaningful opportunity for youth to connect with their faith through reading. They also offer a reminder to help keep kids safe in online Scouting activities and meetings. The council has announced the honorees for the Silver Beaver Awards and invites you to the Council Recognition Banquet for the presentation of the awards. Additionally, they invite you to Tread New Ground at the 2026 Jayhawk Area Council Klondike, a fun event for every Scout scheduled for January 23-25 at the pristine Pomona State Park in Vassar, KS.
