North Fruita Desert Campground is a premier destination for mountain bikers, situated at the heart of the famous 18 Road trail system with direct access to the world-renowned Kokopelli Trail system. The campground features 111 campsites split between Upper and Lower units, nestled among scattered juniper trees at the base of the Book Cliffs mountain range. Campers can ride to trails in just minutes from their sites, making it ideal for active outings. The area offers 33 miles of singletrack mountain bike trails along the Book Cliffs, plus an additional 25 miles of mixed-use trails, with options ranging from fast and flowy to technical riding. Beyond biking, the location provides access to hundreds of miles of routes for motorcycles, ATVs, and 4x4s. The campground sits in the scenic Grand Valley with expansive views of the San Juan and La Sal mountains, Colorado National Monument, and McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area.
