North Cedar Park is a 130-acre park located in the northwest part of Bremer County, east of Plainfield. The park offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including over 2 miles of trails, a picnic and playground area, a sand volleyball court, and a horseshoe pit. Visitors can also enjoy fishing, canoeing, and boating on the Cedar River. The park has a well for drinking water, flush toilets, pit latrine, and showers. Camping is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with non-electric sites costing $15/night and electrical sites costing $20/night. The park is open from May 1st to October 31st, and the park gate is open during this time. The park is closed to vehicle traffic after October 31st, but access is available by walking.
