Mountain Park Campground is located on the Cache la Poudre River, 40 miles northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado, along Highway 14 in the Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forests. Situated on the banks of Colorado's first National Wild and Scenic River, the campground features a scenic setting with dense ponderosa pine forests, open meadows, and steep mountains surrounding the canyon. The area is renowned for excellent outdoor recreation opportunities including whitewater rafting, fishing for brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout, hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The campground offers accessible single- and double-family sites with electric hookups, as well as a group site accommodating up to 75 people, along with amenities such as picnic tables, tent pads, campfire rings, vault toilets, drinking water, and coin showers. Visitors can enjoy on-site recreational facilities including volleyball and basketball courts, a playground, and horseshoe pits, plus nearby trails such as the Mt. McConnel Trail and William R. Kreutzer National Recreation Trail.
