About

Mohawk Trail State Forest is one of the most scenic woodland areas in Massachusetts, covering 6,000 acres of mountain ridges, gorges, and woods. It is home to a variety of plant and animal life. The park offers 53 wooded campsites and 6 overnight log cabins for camping. Visitors can enjoy excellent trout fishing in the park's rivers and streams, as well as hiking, hunting, swimming, cross-country skiing, canoeing, and kayaking. The park also offers educational programs and facilities such as grills, a pavilion, picnic areas, and restrooms.
