Nestled along the Au Sable River at Mio Dam, this rustic campground offers a picturesque escape with excellent fishing and paddling. The campground is divided into two distinct areas, including: Campground: 24 secluded, wooded campsites for tents and small trailers on the west side, providing privacy and a natural setting. Group camp: 10 paddle-in sites in the group camping area on the east side. The campground is located 2 miles northwest of Mio via Morenci Avenue, Pond Drive and South Gerber Road. Mio Pond offers two boating access sites: one adjacent to the group campground and one within the state forest campground. Fishing, boating, and paddling are popular activities in the area.
