The Arizona Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (AZHPA) has served the free flight community in the Grand Canyon State since 1975. The association maintains operations at several flying sites, including South Mountain, Shaw Butte, Humboldt Mountain, Mingus Mountain, Apache Maid, Elden, and The Craters. Membership supports these operations and is required for many of the permitted sites. AZHPA is a local chapter of the United States Hang Gliding Association (USHPA).
