Mill Hollow Campground is located in the Uinta National Forest at an elevation of 8,800 feet, nestled on a hillside just below Mill Hollow Reservoir. The campground offers a scenic mountain setting with a dense forest of fir, lodgepole pine, and aspen trees that provide abundant shade for most sites. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including fishing for rainbow and albino rainbow trout, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking on the 1-mile Lakeshore Trail and 3-mile Mill Hollow Trail, both with trailheads in the campground. Wildlife viewing and summer wildflowers are abundant throughout the area. The campground is situated in bear country, so visitors must follow strict food storage and waste management protocols. Nearby attractions include Soapstone Basin, located 8 miles north, which offers designated dirt trails for off-road vehicles and mountain biking, as well as excellent birding opportunities.
