About
The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest offers a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, climbing, and fishing. With over 6,000 miles of trails and 177 campgrounds, there is something for everyone. The Enchantments, a rugged and unique landscape within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, require overnight permits. The forest is divided into six Ranger Districts, and visitors can explore what their public lands have to offer. The Forest Service recommends checking trailhead pages for pass and fee requirements, closures, and other rules, and visiting partner pages for more information on conditions and what to expect. The forest is home to various organizations, including the Washington Trails Association, the Methow Valley Trails Collaborative, and the Mountains to Sound Greenway, which provide information on trails, conditions, and exploration opportunities.
