Mile High Campground is a rustic campground established in 1998 by Glen J. Bradley, Jr., an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Cherokee, North Carolina, the campground sits a mile above the rest with stunning mountain views of the Smoky Mountains. The facility offers a variety of camping accommodations including primitive and secluded camping sites suitable for tents, pop-ups, trailers, and RVs, as well as bunkhouse cabins. Amenities include clean bathrooms, hot showers, firewood, and a camp store. All sites are non-hookup with no electricity available, providing a true rustic camping experience. The campground's convenient location near the Blue Ridge Parkway makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding natural attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities.
