Meredith Park, also known as Plover Pit, is a popular place for fishing, swimming, picnicking, and camping. Special features include an excellent 5 1/2 acre natural lake, a new playground created from 15,000 recycled milk jugs, and a sleeping cabin added in 2007. The park is located 1 1/2 miles north of Plover on N57 in north central Pocahontas County. Visitors can enjoy the beach, modern toilets, showers, septic dump station, and modern playground. The park also offers 17 electric 50 amp camping sites with water hook up and a shelter house with electricity.
