Meadows Campground is located in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests & Thunder Basin National Grassland. The campground offers dispersed camping opportunities, allowing visitors to camp in a variety of settings throughout the forest. The Elkhead Mountains and the Routt National Forest provide a scenic backdrop for outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking, and horse riding. The Flat Tops area, managed by the Yampa Ranger District, offers additional opportunities for camping and recreation. The campground is a great base for exploring the surrounding area, including the California Park/Black Mountain Area and the Gore Range Area. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, from scenic drives to water activities, and take in the natural beauty of the forest.
