About

Maple Bay State Forest Campground is a rustic campground located on the west side of Burt Lake. The campground offers excellent boat access and a sandy shoreline. There are 35 sites for tent, small trailer, and large trailer use. The campsites are wooded and private. The campground is located four miles east of Brutus via East Brutus Road and Maple Bay Road. The campground provides access to state land open to hunting and fishing. Panfish, largemouth and small-mouth bass, pike, walleye, muskie, perch, and trout can be caught in Burt Lake. The campground has a boat launch, a picnic area, and vault toilets. Potable water is available from a hand-pump well. No electrical hookups are available. Overnight fees and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk at each campground. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay.
