About

Henry W. Coe State Park is a 80,000-acre park with rugged backcountry for hike-in camping. The park offers designated backpacking campsites and dispersed camping in outlying zones. The Coe Ranch Campground has 20 drive-in campsites with picnic tables and campfire pits, as well as primitive campsites with tent pads and parking spots. The park has vault toilets and potable water near each site, but no showers or RV hookups. Dogs are allowed in the Coe Ranch Campground and on the 1/2-mile Live Oak Trail, but not in the backcountry. The park has a maximum vehicle length of 22 feet and a maximum of eight people per site. Reservations can be made online or by calling Reserve California. The park offers a unique backpacking experience with hike-in group camps, including Manzanita Point, which is a 2 to 3 mile hike or mountain bike ride from the Coe Ranch Entrance. Each site has picnic tables and a nearby vault toilet, but no potable water. Campers must bring their own wood and charcoal campfires are prohibited during wildfire season or when weather conditions warrant a campfire ban.
