About
Samuel P. Taylor State Park offers shady strolls through the stately redwoods along Lagunitas Creek as well as exhilarating hikes to the top of Barnabe Peak, one of the best viewpoints in Marin County. The park provides opportunities for day use and entry fees, with special rates applying for peak season, high demand holiday periods, and weekends. The park is accessible for visitors with disabilities, and maps and park directions are available for planning a visit. The park is open from 8am to sunset, with creek access closed from December 1st to June 15th each year. Dogs are allowed in the picnic day-use area, campground, and on the Cross Marin Trail, but not in the hike-and-bike site, creek, cabins, or other trails or undeveloped areas.
