About
Located at the Headwaters of the Columbia River Basin, the continental divide surrounds the community of Butte, MT offering a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest has several campgrounds, picnic areas, and even a rockhounding (crystals) area. The forest surrounds the towns of Ennis, Philipsburg, and the border with Idaho. Visitors can enjoy camping and cabins in the forest. The forest is managed by the U.S.D.A. Forest Service.
