About

North Core Cabin Camp is a secluded coastal getaway located on North Core Banks within Cape Lookout National Seashore, approximately 56 miles of undeveloped barrier islands along the North Carolina coast. Built to replace the former Long Point Cabin Camp lost to Hurricane Dorian in 2019, this unique destination offers a primitive, self-sufficient island experience with unspoiled beaches and endless ocean views. The camp features 16 metal cabins—8 accommodating up to four guests and 8 accommodating up to eight guests—each equipped with bunk beds, window air-conditioning, and hookups for user-provided generators. Accessible only by personal boat or vehicle ferry from Davis, North Carolina, the camp provides a true sense of privacy and escape. Guests enjoy access to a shared bathhouse with hot showers and restrooms, while the surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for fishing, shelling, swimming, birdwatching, kayaking, and beachcombing along 112 miles of undeveloped shoreline.
