Lily Pad Campground is part of PG&E's extensive network of recreational facilities spanning from the Pit River country in the Cascade Range to the coast of San Luis Obispo County. Located near hydroelectric lakes and reservoirs including Lake Almanor, Lake Spaulding, and Lake Britton, the campground offers access to California's natural beauty across elevations ranging from sea level to 8,200 feet. Most facilities feature campground and picnic amenities with opportunities for fishing, swimming, and boating. The area is known for scenic hiking trails including the Pecho Coast Trail and Point Bouchon Trail, which showcase remarkable vistas of California's central coast. Reservations are available for most campgrounds with a 2-night minimum stay requirement, though some sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
