About

Lakeside Park is a campground and recreation area located on the northern side of Hords Creek Lake in central Texas, surrounded by gently rolling hills dotted with Live oak trees. The park is partially open year-round and fully operational from March 1 through September 30. All campsites feature water and electric hookups, with some offering sewer hookups, and six sites include screened shelters to provide protection from windy weather. The facility offers boat ramps, fishing piers, and shower facilities throughout the grounds. Visitors can enjoy excellent fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, white crappie, channel and flathead catfish, and sunfish, with the lake's record largemouth bass weighing 11 pounds 4 ounces. The park is conveniently located just eight miles west of Coleman, Texas, and provides access to nearby Friendship Park and Lakeside Park for additional exploration.
