Lake Cleveland Campground - East Side is a popular summer recreational facility located in the Sawtooth National Forest at an elevation of 8,300 feet in an alpine lake basin. Situated below Mt. Harrison (9,240 feet), the campground offers expansive views north across the Snake River Plain and south into Utah and Nevada. The East Side loop contains seventeen camping sites, seven of which are reservable while ten operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The East side is best suited for large RVs and trailers, making it ideal for those with bigger rigs. The campground is near timberline and alpine wildflower meadows, though late season snowdrifts often block access until early to mid-July. Visitors can enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming, with non-motorized boating allowed on the lake. The area is known for being very popular with local residents and is often full every weekend from early July through Labor Day.
