About

KVPD Campground is a seasonal campground open from May to October 2025. It offers 12 tent sites and 12 RV sites, with 5 of the RV sites being pull-through. The RV sites come with 30-amp electric hookups. Amenities include a playground, fire pits, picnic tables, port-o-lets, a common dump station, and community water supply connection. Pets are welcome but must stay on leash. The campground is conveniently located adjacent to the Kankakee River, with a boat launch, Pirate Playground, walking trail, Dog Park, and River Road Sports Complex nearby. Splash Valley and Ice Valley Ice Arena are also within a short distance. Minimal camp supplies are available on site for purchase, and further supplies can be found a short drive away. Check-ins begin at 2:00 pm, and check-out time is 12:00 pm. Reservations can be made online or over the phone with a credit card, while onsite hosts only accept cash.
