Founded in 1955, Krause Springs is a historic 115-acre camping and swimming destination located in Spicewood, Texas, approximately 30 miles west of Austin in the beautiful Hill Country. The property, listed on the National Registry of Historical Sites and privately owned by the Krause Family for over 50 years, features 32 natural springs on the grounds. Several springs feed both a manmade pool and a natural pool that flows directly into Lake Travis, offering refreshing swimming opportunities during hot Texas summers. The park provides primitive tent camping as well as 24 RV sites with water and electricity. Guests can explore the scenic grounds, relax in the Butterfly Gardens, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance created by wind chimes and fountains throughout the property.
