About
Camping is available on a first come-first serve basis at Kcl Campground, which does not offer reservations. The campground has 12 campsites, two of which are elevated ADA compliant, with picnic tables, fire pits, horse corrals, and an ADA compliant vault toilet. Electricity and drinking water are not available, and there is no garbage service. Visitors are asked to act responsibly and pack out any refuse they have. The campground has some of the few shade trees on the monument and still retains a few of the original barn structures and corrals from its former ownership by the Kern County Land Company. Please refrain from entering the barn structures. The campground is located near Santa Margarita, California, on the Carrizo Plain National Monument.
