The Manti-La Sal National Forest offers a wide range of outdoor activities and recreation opportunities. Dispersed camping is available throughout the forest, allowing visitors to enjoy the solitude and primitive experience of camping away from developed campgrounds and other campers. The forest also provides opportunities for biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting and shooting, off-highway vehicles (OHV), and outdoor science and learning. Visitors can search for recreation opportunities by region or interest. Before heading out, it's recommended to read the rules for camping and traveling on the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The forest is divided into south and north zones, with road and gate conditions available for each. The forest is managed by the US Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, and offers a variety of activities and experiences for visitors.
