The Geneseo Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America is a conservation organization chartered in 1952. The chapter maintains the Ike's Park located on the Hennepin Canal, offering picnic facilities, fishing, campgrounds, a boat ramp, a handicapped-accessible fishing dock, and a lodge for community and visitor use. The chapter strives to develop a love for the outdoors for the community, sponsoring multiple fishing and community events each year. They also support local youth, including Girl and Boy Scouts, and local school districts and preschool programs. The chapter's mission is to conserve, restore, and promote the sustainable use and enjoyment of natural resources, including soil, air, woods, waters, and wildlife. Members pledge to strive for the purity of water, the clarity of air, and the wise stewardship of the land and its resources.
