About

Shawnee Twin Lakes offers two designated swimming areas, free of charge, located on Shawnee Lake #1. The lakes are located West of Highway 102, South of I-40. Motorized boating is allowed on both lakes and requires a permit. Skiing, tubing, and personal watercrafts are allowed on Shawnee Lake #1 ONLY. Kayaks and canoes are allowed on both lakes and do not require a permit. Fishing is allowed on both lakes and requires a permit. Hunting is allowed on Shawnee Twin Lakes and surrounding areas, but hunting of Canada geese, deer, or turkey is prohibited. The Shawnee Campgrounds are located at Lake #1 in Isaac Walton Park, with 15 primitive campsites each with parking, shade trees, picnic table, fire pit, and metal post for hanging lanterns or trash. Campsites are $8 per day for up to 7 days, maximum 2 tents. The campsite entry gates are locked at 9:30 p.m. and re-opened at 5:30 a.m. the next day.
