Indian Lake State Park is a 567-acre park located on the shores of Indian Lake, five miles west of Manistique in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The park is composed of two units, which are 3 miles apart and separated by the lake. The south unit features a modern campground overlooking the lake, while the west unit features semi-modern campsites in a wooded setting. Other amenities include two Civilian Conservation Corps-era picnic shelters, a designated swim beach, a quarter-mile, paved trail along the lake, and boating access site. Indian Lake is the fourth-largest inland lake in the Upper Peninsula, offering fishing for a variety of species. The park also offers nature-based programming, paddlesport rentals, and cross-country skiing. Visitors can enjoy swimming, picnicking, and playing at the park's playgrounds. The park is surrounded by other attractions, including Palms Book State Park, Thompson State Fish Hatchery, and Seney National Wildlife Refuge.
